Using the result grid download icon is the fastest way to download items as PDF documents on the fly
1. Looking at your result grid, click on the download icon on the far right of any row(s) containing any item(s) in the grid you’d like to download
2. Items will download to your downloads folder or else whichever folder is set as your download location in your browser settings (typically under Settings > Downloads in your browser)
3. This method does not create a subfolder – simply downloads each item into the download folder
Using download to zip allows you download selected files into their own zipped subfolder – this is ideal for keeping items organized into separate folders
1. Check off the items you’d like to download to zip using the checkboxes on the far left of each row
2. Click on the “…” ellipsis on the upper right of your result grid to access the menu
3. Choose download
4. Note the amount of documents and the size of the download to be prepared
4. Click ok and it will prepare the zip file in the background and then automatically download it to your downloads folder or whichever folder is set as your download location in your browser settings (typically under Settings > Downloads in your browser)
5. Each item will be in a zipped folder along with the other items you downloaded at the same time as it
This method works the same as if you had used the result grid download icon but is useful when you’re already in the full text document and need to download
1. Looking at a full text document, click on the gear icon on the upper right to open the menu
2. Choose download and will begin the PDF download to your downloads folder or else whichever folder is set as your download location in your browser settings (typically under Settings > Downloads in your browser)
3. This method does not create a subfolder – simply downloads each item into the download folder
This is the best method for when you either want to specify page ranges of documents you want to download or else want to retain highlighting on your downloaded document (or both)
1. Looking at a full text document, click on the gear icon on the upper right to open the menu
2. Choose print to launch the print dialogue box
3. Specify a range of pages to save to PDF, if applicable
4. Select include annotations to retain search highlights on the saved PDF and uncheck it if you don’t want them to show
5. Choose High under Print Quality
6. Click print
7. Choose Save as PDF under Destination
8. Name your document if prompted
9. Your document is downloaded with the specifications you set
