Video - Running Your First Search



Search Panel


Here are the features of your search panel.   Items 1 , 3, 4, and 7   below are all you need to run your first search!

  1. Choose a dataset – contains all the datasets within which you can execute searches
  2. Saved Searches Area – keeps all saved searches at your fingertips for quick execution
  3. Full text search area – write or paste your full text searches into here
  4. Add Criteria – if desired, add criteria to your search in order to better control parameters (such as Issuer Name, Industry, Exchanges traded on, or revenue range) contains criteria categories to refine your search
  5. Filing Lists – Limit your search to search only among lists of documents you’ve already put into a folder for easy access
  6. Hide Criteria Panel  – collapses criteria panel to provide more viewing area for search results.  Especially helpful when Document Preview in Search Results is turned on
  7. Search , Clear , Reset buttons – to run a search, clear your criteria and full text search area, or to reset your search to a saved search you’re using as default search
  8. History – contains the last 20 searches you’ve run, including full text as well as criteria choices
  9. Search criteria – active search criteria fields are highlighted blue for clarity
  10. Dataset Quick Links  – links to the first 2 listed favourite datasets (other than the one you're currently in, if you are in one)
