View French/English translated SEDAR filings side-by-side

Translation View allows users to see documents that are filed in both English and French in a side by side view for comparison.   Below are step by step instructions as well as a video to get you started with translation view.

To use Translation View


1.      You may want to start your translation view search by restricting your search to documents that are filed in both French and English

a.      If so, add the Translated criteria to your search and select Yes in it

                                                    i.      See Narrow searches using search criteria

b.      This will ensure all of your search results are documents that do indeed have translated versions

2.      You may want to control which language document appears on the left side vs which appears on the right side

a.      If so, add the Filing Language criteria to your search and select the language you want to show on the left side in it – if you select French then French documents will show on the left side and English will show on the right side beside them

3.      You may want to add the Translated column to your search results to see confirmation of which documents are also filed in the other language

a.      See Select and reorder search result columns

4.      Click on any document in your result grid that is filed in both languages

5.      Click on the cog on the upper right in the document viewer

6.      Select Translation View

7.      A second window will open up with a second version of the current document, in the other language

8.      You may want to go to full screen view to best be able to navigate your two documents if you are intending to use both KWIC (Key Words In Context) views
